The Bible urges believers to gain wisdom in this life. Not just facts, but wisdom and godly foresight.
When you have a deep understanding to find, speaking to a larger number of people can bring a diversity of thought to an issue, but can also cloud the issue further. Human wisdom is linked to our experiences and limited understanding of the world. Therefore, more human voices often brings more ideas and opinions, but not necessarily more wisdom. Spending time with God in prayer and in the Word and with His Spirit, however, will gain you true wisdom.
Wisdom comes from the Lord.
If you gather around many humans who all listen to the Lord and gain wisdom, you may find a creative Christian community that is mature and growing in faith and substance. Visible Music College in 2017 was growing into our third phase of the college and maturing into a solid biblical community of maturing believers. We attracted a diverse group of young leaders in 2017 from Maine to California who came for business, production, worship, music, ministry, and media. Many students who asked great questions, gathered in small groups of Life Together “houses”, and spent time in the Word and in worship looking for wisdom.
Visible had numerous speakers from ministry and music industry come in to speak to students, work with the Grammys and the multiplicity of church denominations, multiple studios, conferences, and across four campuses to begin to gain understanding of being a multi-site college with impact in major cities and across tours, and churches, and recordings that were impactful and multi-ethnic and full of wisdom beyond the years of the young students. We also welcomed mature students, grew the Masters program, and expanded our network of faith globally. A year of growth and maturation develops people within community quickly. The world was becoming more complex and the music industry certainly was reeling from new systems still.
Visible oriented around developing leadership with wisdom - and still does.
